The JMK Trust are delighted to be partnering with Royal Exchange Manchester, with support from the Victoria Wood Foundation, to offer one Manchester-based early career director the opportunity to undertake a 5.5 week paid placement at Royal Exchange Manchester.
About the role:
At the heart of this placement is the opportunity to be the Assistant Director on the Royal Exchange Manchester production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by Tennessee Williams directed by Roy Alexander Weise.
This is a full-time 5.5 week placement based at Royal Exchange Manchester, from 20th February 2023 until 29th March 2023. It is intended as an opportunity for a director in the earlier stages of their career*.
The successful candidate will be the recipient of a JMK Victoria Wood Bursary, generously supported by the Victoria Wood Foundation, and will have the opportunity to work alongside the Royal Exchange Artistic Planning & Engagement teams.
*We define Early Career as someone who has started their career as a director and has a little bit of professional experience. They might have made some of their own work, undertaken some director training, and/or worked as an assistant director on other shows.
