Getting your head round Tech

Next week’s free workshop will focus on helping directors understand how best to prepare for Technical Rehearsals and manage running them smoothly and efficiently. Headed by Lucy Bird (JMK Assistant Director on The Lovely Bones), this will be a peer-led session for emerging directors. The sessions will explore prepping a script for tech; how to work with the limited tech time and resources provided by fringe scale productions; the role of an Assistant Director on large scale productions; and managing the change from fringe size productions to larger scale as your directing career progresses.
