This residency will be run by Lyndsey Turner with a focus on approaching classic plays. Using her upcoming production of Macbeth as a starting point, Lyndsey will be introducing the participants to her directing process. This is a practical workshop that will look at how a director prepares, offering tips and skills to carry forward and extend your own creative toolkit.
Lyndsey Turner has directed plays in the West End, the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company and on Broadway. She is currently Associate Director at the National Theatre.
If you are interested in taking part please send a short paragraph (no more than 300 words) about why you would like to take part in the workshop and how it will help with your development, as well as either a CV or short paragraph outlining your previous directing experience to davinia.jokhi@homemcr.org by 20th March.
