Nothing compares to the magic of a live audience experience. However in these difficult times, it’s fantastic to have access to so much theatre from our living rooms while we patiently wait for our theatre spaces to re-open their doors.
But what about the drink and discussion in the bar afterwards?
#JMKSpace Post-Show is an informal online event for directors and theatre makers to discuss a production over a cuppa, wine, or whatever you can find in the house.
This #JMKSpace event is specifically for North-East based artists in an attempt to keep the discussion smaller and more personal for participants. During the discussion, there is absolutely no pressure to have something ‘interesting’ to say about the play, it will be very relaxed and participants are welcome to just listen.
The group for North-East directors is normally hosted by Northern Stage in Newcastle.
The first selected production is Pilot Theatre’s production, Crongton Knights, created in collaboration with Belgrade Theatre Coventry, Derby Theatre and York Theatre Royal, found (until 09/05/20)on YouTube: https://youtu.be/CL2DIlzz73w
The discussion will take place 7.30pm – 8.30pm on Thursday 7th May on Zoom, and will be facilitated by Maria Crocker.
To reserve your free place, and receive a Zoom invitation, please email- maria@jmktrust.org
More #JMKSpace open-access events for other areas to be announced soon.
We’ve chosen productions that are available around the clock, during the specified dates, so you can watch them at a time that suits you. If you have any access requirements, need technical support or have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact maria@jmktrust.org
