Collaboration
Working with a theatre designer
with
Jeff James |
A director’s relationship with a designer is crucial to the success of a production.
Ideally, the stage design for a show emerges out of a series of conversations between designer and director over the months leading up to rehearsal and production.
Focusing on text-based theatre, this #JMKSpace session/workshop on Zoom will look at strategies to focus these conversations, and explore ways that a director and designer can interrogate the structure of a play to create a coherent and exciting design.
This #JMKSpace event is open to all. It takes the place of our directors’ groups normally hosted by Nottingham Playhouse, Royal & Derngate Northampton and Birmingham Rep.
25 spaces are available.
The workshop will take place 5.00 – 6.30 p.m on Tuesday June 16th on Zoom, facilitated by Martin Berry.
