#JMKSpace: The Director Designer Relationship with Rosanna Vize

This workshop will focus on the intricate nature of the director designer relationship. We will explore different approaches to collaboration and the potential benefits of a flat hierarchy approach to theatre making and the importance of finding the right team for you.

The session will take place 6.00 – 8.00pm on Wednesday 10th February on Zoom.

This free #JMKSpace event is open to all and there are 30 places available. To apply to take part please complete the form at the bottom of this page no later than 5pm on Sunday 7th February.

Rosanna trained as a designer at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In 2013 she was one of 12 Linbury finalists and became a Jerwood Young Designer. In 2017 Rosanna won the Off West End Award for her design of Low Level Panic. In 2019 she was nominated for a UK theatre award for her design of The Audience. Theatre credits include: Hedda Gabler (Sherman Theatre); King Lear(Shakespeare’s Globe); The Almighty Sometimes (Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester); Incantata (The Gate Theatre Dublin); Myth and The Earthworks (Royal Shakespeare Company); The Phlebotomist, No One Will Tell me How to Start a Revolution, Yous Two (Hampstead Theatre); The Audience (Nuffield Theatre) Don Carlos (Ara Theatre); hang (Sheffield Crucible); Girls (Talawa Theatre/SohoTheatre/Hightide);Low Level Panic and Cougar (Orange Tree Theatre); FUP, Noye’s Fludde (Kneehigh Theatre); Diary of a Madman, The Rise and Shine of Comrade Fiasco (The Gate Theatre); Dark Land Lighthouse, The Last days of Mankind, St Joan of the Stockyards, Talon, The Tinderbox (Bristol Old Vic); Infinite Lives, Coastal Defences, The Borrowers (Tobacco Factory Theatres); An Adventure, Leave Taking (Bush Theatre). Opera credits include: Don Giovanni (Hampstead Garden Opera) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Royal Shakespeare Company/Garsington Opera).
