Starting a Theatre Company with Piers Black

This workshop will discuss how you could start your own theatre company, as a theatre maker or director. We will discuss how to build and sustain a company of creatives and how to discover your identity, style and mission.

As a member of the JMK Northampton Director’s Group we would like to invite you to join us for this free workshop with JMK Director Practitioner, Piers Black, in partnership with Royal & Derngate Northampton and GenFest 2022.

Royal & Derngate’s artists support programme Generate, proudly presents our fourth festival dedicated to supporting emerging and established artists.

Over one week artists are invited to attend screenings, scratch performances, Q&A’s, workshops, one-to-one support opportunities and attend a networking session. Each scratch event will be followed by a Q&A session allowing audiences the opportunity to directly give feedback and support the future life of the work.

All events are ticketed so you must book a ticket if you would like to attend. All events excluding Wild Onion and Othello RE:MX are free.
